Hi! My name is Ryan Shackelford. I combined my name with my wife’s name to create Shaxon Media. I’m an Arizona based motion designer specializing in storytelling, training, and explainer videos using both 2D and 3D animation methods.

With nearly 13 years in the industry, I’ve had the opportunity to work at small studios, large corporate companies, and freelance opportunities that have all provided me valuable experience. My passion remains with animation, but I am confident and enjoy the whole creative process from concept, to productions, and to final delivery. My goal on every project is to learn something new. Whether that’s becoming a mini subject matter expert or developing a new animation technique. If I’m not proud of what I’ve made, then I’ve failed myself.

In my spare time, my wife and I enjoy exploring what Phoenix has to offer from new restaurants to art festivals or the occasional hike when its sub triple digits. I’m cat and dog lover but currently have enough cats to keep me occupied and almost consider me a crazy cat person. When we aren’t competing in cooking competitions with an online group of friends, then you can also probably find both of us playing some sort of computer game. When I’m not playing multiplayer games like League of Legends or whatever the hottest new multiplayer game is, then I tend to dive into to heavy mechanic driven, base building, resource and colony management games.
